Do UX design agency case studies always show the full
Hey everyone! I’ve been researching UX design agencies lately because our product team is thinking about hiring one to help with a redesign. I spent hours looking through portfolios and case studies on agency websites, and honestly… they all look amazing. Beautiful screens, impressive results, high‑level descriptions of strategy — it’s easy to get excited. But something feels off. Almost all the case studies show success stories with perfect timelines and polished work, and none of them talk about challenges like technical issues, accessibility concerns, or how they handled implementation problems. It’s left me wondering if there’s more to the story that’s just not included. Has anyone noticed this before? Do agencies tend to hide parts of the process in their case studies? How should we interpret these portfolios so we’re not misled about what it’s really like to work with a top UX team?
